Welcome to the Lake City of Srinagar. Begin your Kashmir Exotica Tour' upon arrival at Srinagar Airport. You will be moved to Srinagar and taken on a city tour, including the Shankracharya temple on Srinagar's tallest peak, the famed Mughal Gardens-Cheshmashahi, Nishat & Shalimar, and Hazratbal Shrine. These gardens were the Mughal Emperor's idea of paradise, and they are now popular picnic areas. Visit a handicraft shop to buy locally made things such as Shawls, Jackets, Bed Covers, Paper Mache, Carpets, and much more! In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along Dal Lake, exploring the local markets. Return to the Houseboat in Srinagar in the evening for a relaxing overnight stay.
Today you go on a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, the lovely "golden meadow." Sonamarg is the district's final stop. The area of Ladakh begins here. At an elevation of 2743 metres above sea level. In the summer, the fast-flowing Sindh River is renowned for trout and masher fishing. You can pay for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in the snow and ice.
In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Gulmarg. En route, you can visit the picturesque Tangmarg town before continuing on a 14-kilometer scenic trip to Gulmarg. Arrive at Gulmarg early afternoon and settle into your hotel. After that, embark on a brief excursion by boarding the Gondola cable car system (the 08-minute ropeway). After an hour, return to Gulmarg and enjoy some horseback riding. Stay in Srinagar for the night.
Leave early in the morning for Pahalgam, the "Valley of Shepherds," which is located at the confluence of streams flowing from the Lidder River and Sheeshnag Lake. Visit the Awantipura ruins along the way, a 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and erected by King Awantivarman. When you arrive in Pahalgam, take in the surrounding splendour or walk to Baisaren, which is just 2 kilometres away. A little settlement located in a pine and fir forest is attractive and provides a good outlook. Srinagar hotel for the night.
