head to view the highest peak of the Western Ghats range in Kerala – Anamudi, which is a part of a national park. This 2695 m high peak has its surrounding area enriched with dense forestation that serves as a habitat for wild animals.
Thereafter, visit the Eravikulam National Park (Rajmala), which is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Kerala. Explore its blossoming vegetation along with seasonal streams to feel close to nature. This park is also renowned for the flowering of Neelakurunji, which blossoms only once after 12 years. The endangered species named Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat, is an inhabitant of this wildlife park. Some other animals that can be spotted here include leopards, Nilgiri martens, wild dogs, squirrels and mongoose. Numerous bird species and rare kinds of butterflies can also be observed in this national park.
